James C. LaRue
Mr. LaRue is the President and a Principal of Southwestern Environmental Consulting, Inc.
He entered the environmental field in 1968 and served in several responsible positions
within the hazardous waste and environmental fields. He joined Southwestern in October of
1989, at its formation. His long and varied background in hazardous waste, environmental
matters and industrial chemical and high-pressure water cleaning and is one of the
cornerstones of Southwestern's business. All projects at Southwestern receive principal
review before they are released. Mr. LaRue's experience helps ensure that the projects we
undertake are performed with proven methods and in the most cost-effective manner
appropriate for the results desired.
Prior to his employment with Southwestern, Mr. LaRue was a Principal in ESI Environmental
Services and Delta Ecology, Inc. In addition, he has been employed as General Manager of
Sprint Waste Disposal, Inc., Southwest Area Manager of Chemical Waste Management, and a
Regional Manager of Browning-Ferris Industries Chemical Services, Incorporated. Mr. LaRue
has worked on environmental and industrial cleaning projects throughout Europe, the Middle
East, South America and the Caribbean, as well as the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Mr. LaRue presently chairs the Technical and serves on the Executive Committees of a
Superfund site. He has first-hand experience in the performance of Superfund remedial
activities, from initial formation of Potentially Responsible Party (PRP) groups through
the final allocation and cost-recovery actions. In addition, he provides environmental
consulting services to major organic chemical and plastic resin producers in their North
American and European operations.
Mr. LaRue is a Certified Environmental Inspector and a Certified Environmental Specialist
and a member of the Environmental Auditing Roundtable, Environmental Assessment
Association, Environmental Law Institute Associates, and Air and Waste Management
Association.
